Trend: Oxfords

Un zapato Oxford es un estilo del zapato elegante de cuero. Los zapatos Oxford se construyen tradicionalmente en cuero y eran históricamente bastante planos. El diseño del zapato es a menudo liso, pero puede incluir algún ornamento o pequeñas perforaciones como el pespunteado doble a lo largo de la puntera. Se ata con cordones que pasan a través de cinco o seis parejas de orificios.

Los zapatos aparecieron originalmente en Escocia e Irlanda, en donde de vez en cuando se llaman Balmorals y tuvieron gran predicamento en la Universidad de Oxford en el siglo XIX.

• Semi-brogue, con punteado tanto en las costuras como en la puntera del zapato.
• Full-brogue, presentan punteados con dibujos en la punta y en las alas.

An Oxford shoe is an elegant style of leather shoe. Oxford shoes are traditionally made of leather and were historically rather flat. The design of the shoe is often smooth, but may include some small holes ornament or as double stitching along the toe. It binds with strands passing through five or six pairs of holes. 

These shoes originally appeared in Scotland and Ireland, where from time to time are called Balmorals and had great prestige in the University of Oxford in the nineteenth century.
